About Stefan Lovin
Stefan Lovin is a Romanian pianist and composer whose work blends classical performance, jazz improvisation, and Romanian folk traditions. He studied piano at the National University of Music Bucharest and gained early recognition at the Sibiu Jazz Festival and Bucharest Jazz Festival.
His artistic approach integrates elements of classical repertoire, Orthodox and Gregorian influences, Romanian folk melodies, jazz and contemporary improvisation, creating a distinctive and personal musical language. He has developed numerous projects across classical music, jazz, and composition, and has performed extensively in concert settings, including various philharmonic concert hall appearances.
In 2025, he released the solo piano album Heaven Shines Like Silver on Protomaterial Records, a project that reflects his unique fusion of tradition, spirituality, and modern expression. He has also collaborated with contemporary dance artist Vanessa Groovell and her team, exploring the connection between music and movement through interdisciplinary projects.
